As the head talent agent, I facilitate anywhere from sixty-three to over one hundred and fifty auditions each week for my clients. Over the years, I've observed that clients who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on training at prestigious schools like Juilliard, Yale, and NYU often hear nothing from casting after investing hours in their audition tapes. Meanwhile, other clients with less formal training but exceptional auditioning skills consistently receive callbacks, pins (on hold), and book major roles. The key difference? It often boils down to their audition process and technique. If you're an actor pouring your heart and soul into auditions without seeing results, Season 1 is designed to assist you.

Here's the harsh reality: many actors assume they weren't the right fit or what casting was seeking. However, if you or your agent secured the audition, it indicates that casting has already reviewed your materials. Considering casting typically only selects 25-30 auditions out of 1500 submissions, the silence following your hard work likely stems from two reasons: either your audition missed the mark within the first 10 seconds or someone else delivered a more compelling performance.

In this class, we'll refine your audition skills either in person or via Zoom with our 4-week course designed to enhance your audition technique foundation. We'll cover the fundamentals of auditions and acting, delve into technical aspects, utilize storytelling and essence as audition tools, apply U-Shin's 4-pass workflow to improve audition techniques, and develop your personalized audition process, incorporating tools like the 12 methods of memorization.

Week 1 delves into understanding the essence of auditions, your role as an actor, the dynamics of casting, your relationship with auditions, and a detailed exploration of the technical aspects.

Week 2 builds upon this foundation by exploring storytelling, defining your type and essence as crucial audition tools.

Weeks 3 introduces U-Shin's 4 pass workflow, where we'll embody the perspectives of the audience, actor, director, and director of photography to refine your audition technique further.

Week 4 is dedicated to crafting the first draft of your audition process and leveraging helpful tools such as the 12 methods of memorization.
